Bobby Jewell is a musician and ambient dj/radio show host on Resonance Extra and elsewhere and "Songs to the cistern" is his artist debut on Mahorka that was assembled and finalised during the last year specially for the label and also comes out as special limited cassette edition.

"This EP is made from scraps of sounds from various harddrives, phone videos, field recordings and youtube links over the past eight years. Folded into layers of ambient music, the music references archaeological sites, research centres, phonographs, broken instruments and media, with the results blending together as a contemplative and rough exploration of creative process being led by key samples and moments of inspiration"
